Asset Campus Housing recently received the Best Mobile Marketing Campaign – Off Campus award from the Student Housing Business - Innovator Awards . The ACH iPhone app was released in January of 2011 and since then has been a valuable resource to all current and prospective residents at ACH properties.

The judges on the SHB Innovator Awards committee noted “this is a great example of recognizing a new marketing channel and then exploiting it on multiple levels (rent payment, maintenance and notifications).  This iPhone app is just the beginning of a good start on using technology to drive traffic to properties.

The ACH team is currently getting ready to release version 2.0 of the student housing iPhone app with new and improved features that will surely peak the interest of prospective and currents residents.

Asset Plus Companies and Asset Campus Housing would like to recognize our Accounting office in College Station, Texas for their selfless services in aiding their local fire departments whom are battling the current wild fires.

The Brazos Valley has been hit hard with wild fires in Grimes and Walker Counties taking the brunt of the brutal blazes.  The Grimes county fire has consumed approximately 5,000 acres and has engulfed 30 homes as last reported.  The Fire Departments from all parts of the Brazos Valley have been called out to try and contain the fires.  Thankfully these hard working firefighters have been able to contain 65% of the fires.

Several employees at the College Station accounting office decided to assist these brave men and women in their efforts by providing towels, cases of water, PowerAde, sandwiches, cookies, eye wash, Lysol and plenty of ibuprofen.  We are so proud of our team for reaching out to their community in a time of need and will continue to keep all those effected by the wild fires in our thoughts.

Promotions within Asset Campus Housing

We are proud to announce that after 7 years of being with Asset Campus Housing, Kenneth Strahan has been promoted to Senior Financial Analyst and Asset Manager.

Kenneth Strahan has recently been promoted from Regional Supervisor to Senior Financial Analyst and Asset Manager.  Ken began his career as a Resident Assistant with Allen & O’Hara in a private dormitory servicing the students at the University of Texas. He was quickly promoted to Resident Director and then was offered his first property manager’s position with GMH Communities in 1999. After running a full-service student dormitory for five years, Ken accepted a position with Asset Campus Housing and began supervising one of the company’s first garden-style student-only apartment communities. Since 2004, Ken has been a leader amongst supervisors challenging his team to achieve the highest occupancy and resident retention rates at each of their properties.

Ken’s ability to successfully maintain financial control over expenses while maximizing occupancy at each of his properties led him to this new role as Senior Financial Analyst and Asset Manager. Ken currently preps and reviews all operating budgets for normal operating properties as well as upcoming developments. He is responsible for reviewing all financial operation statuses for ACH properties and serves as Asset Manager for select properties.  We are proud of Ken’s achievements and look forward to many more!
